Mountain Power Solutions
Mountain Power Solutions LLC was founded by Steve Romo and Mac Lewis. We recognized a significant need for a company that focused on off-grid power systems in Western Colorado and Eastern Utah. Most solar companies in the area focus their efforts towards grid-connected systems only because they are technically simple and require little expertise to install and service. We developed expertise in off-grid power and have expanded to specialize in energy storage and backup power solutions, both off-grid and grid-connected. We appreciate the challenge of designing, installing, and troubleshooting residential and off-grid power systems. We pride ourselves on improving existing systems, as well as designing the most robust and efficient power systems for your home.
Meet Our Team
Mac Lewis
Mac is a western Colorado local and was raised in Cedaredge, Colorado. He received his degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Renewable Energy from Oregon Institute of Technology. He has been working in the solar power industry since 2008, specializing off-grid power solutions. He enjoys working on remote sites, and gets great satisfaction from a successful off-grid project. He has met some amazing off-grid people and enjoys the independent nature of his off-grid clients.
Mac is a NABCEP certified installer, an authorized KOHLER generator service tech, and an Alumni of Solar Energy International.
David Lewis
David was raised in western Colorado. He received his Bachelor degree in Applied Physics from Mesa State College and a Masters degree in Fish, Wildlife, and Conservation Biology from Colorado State University. He has worked for Mountain Power Solutions in the solar power industry since 2014 and loves the challenge of remote work. He finds great satisfaction in transforming dysfunctional power systems and sites with no power into sites with reliable quiet power. David loves the work, people, and places the solar energy trade offers.
David is a NABCEP Associate and an Alumni of Solar Energy International.
Chris Dawson
Chris was born and raised in the Denver area and relocated with his family to Grand Junction in 2018. His background is in healthcare technology and operations management. He received a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Throughout his career, Chris has focused on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of teams and organizations using data-driven solutions. He joined the Mountain Power Solutions team in 2021 and is enjoying the challenges and opportunities presented in the solar and off-grid energy industry.

Mountain Power Solutions located in Grand Junction, Colorado are members of Colorado Solar & Storage Association and American Council for Energy Efficient Economy. Mountain Power Solutions is also certified in Kohler Generators, NABCEP, and Generac.
